Others’ Still Lifes began from a curiosity I had for a building I was temporarily working in during May of 2012. In my free time, I explored the spaces and took pictures without much in mind.
After asking around I discovered that on the floor above me still life paintings and sculpture classes were given to retirees and hobbyists. I secretly visited these rooms several times during that month. Each time I went back, the classroom chairs and easels were re-arranged. The still lifes disappeared and new ones appeared in their place.
